The Disc’s first Music with Rocks in band consists of Imp “Buddy” y Celyn, who looks a little elvish around the ears, Glod Gloddson, a dwarf who claims he can blow anything, and Lias “Cliff” Bluestone, the troll with the amazingly un-musical nick name. No one could last in the music industry with a name like Cliff. And even though they’re only in one of the books, well, I’ve got a lot of pictures of them so I’m sticking them in the characters section.
Imp, or Buddy as he came to be known, comes from Llamedos (say it backwards) where there’s nothing but druids and holly and mountains and stuff. One stuff druid was Buddy’s father who wasn’t thrilled when Buddy told him he wanted to be a musician. He set off for the city with only a few pennies and his beloved harp that he won in a competition. He went to Ankmorpork (always a very clever thing to do) where he met Glod and Cliff while trying to join the Musician’s Guild. Since none of them had enough money to join they became friends, and a pretty darn good band. Unfortunately, due to an accident involving a tiny wooden harp and a huge, but well meaning, heavy troll who just wanted a place to sit down, Buddy had to take up a new instrument. He found a cool looking guitar in a strange shop that seemed to like him which suited him just fine.
Glod is the band’s horn player. Or it could be a sax. Anything that he could blow really. We don't know to much about where he came from except it was defiantly a mountain of some kind and his mother made nice dwarf bread. His first love was gold, his second love was gold, he had a soft spot for lots of money, so Blind Io only knows why he decided to become a musician.
Cliff is the.....erm.....percussion. He hits rocks with mallets. But hey, what’s music with rocks in without the rocks? Em......just music I suppose.
